ZEISS SMILE®

A great SMILE can be a powerful asset. It can create opportunities and set you up for success – much like the minimally invasive Laser Vision Correction procedure ZEISS SMILE. Especially when you consider that millions of eyes have already been treated with Small Incision Lenticule Extraction, better known as ZEISS SMILE. SMILE stands for small incision lenticule extraction and this vision correction surgery is designed to correct nearsightedness with or without astigmatism.

EVO ICL

You have many options when it comes to vision correction. Please call 888.539.2211 to schedule a free consultation with our knowledgeable staff. The EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer® Lens) is a state-of-the-art solution that’s ideal for anyone with the need or desire for quality vision correction. Produced by STAAR® Surgical Company, the EVO ICL has numerous advantages including its correction of the widest range of myopia, or “nearsightedness” without removing corneal tissue.

Cataracts & Premium IOLs

What is Cataracts? Cataracts develop gradually over time as natural proteins within the eye structure and clump together, causing obstruction to vision. It is a natural part of aging and nearly everyone gets cataracts, typically after age 60. During Cataract and RLE surgery, the natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with an intraocular lens. Advanced IOL options can correct astigmatism and vision at all distances.

Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)

Refractive lens exchange (RLE) is a procedure that replaces the natural lens of the eye with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL) to correct visual impairments like nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, and presbyopia. The goal of refractive lens exchange is to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses and improve the patient’s overall visual quality.

PRK

You have many options when it comes to vision correction. Please call 888.539.2211 to schedule a free consultation with our knowledgeable staff. Typically used to treat Myopia, PRK completely removes the corneal epithelium, in order to gain access to the corneal stroma.

Am I A Good Candidate?

Are You A Candidate For Vision Correction? The Ideal Candidate: There are times when our practice must turn away patients because they are not a good candidate for the procedure and our number one concern is not the number of patients we bring in but the quality of care and high level of service we provide to the community.

LASEK

You have many options when it comes to vision correction. Please call 888.539.2211 to schedule a free consultation with our knowledgeable staff. For patients that have very thin, or abnormally shaped corneas, Laser Epithelial Keratomileusis (LASEK) may be the only option. First performed in 1987, the LASEK technique preserves the extremely thin epithelial layer to gain access to the corneal stroma before the Laser Treatment is applied.

Pterygium

Pterygium is a growth of the conjunctiva that grows onto the cornea. The conjunctiva is the clear tissue that covers the sclera (the white part of the eye) and also lines the inside of the eyelids. The exact cause of Pterygium is unknown, but many associate it with excessive exposure to wind, ultra-violet rays (typically from the sun), and/or sand.

LRI (Limbal Relaxing Incision)

Typically used to treat Astigmatism and Cataract Patients. Limbal Relaxing Incision, or LRI, is a procedure in which partial thickness incisions are made at the corneal periphery (edge of the cornea) in order to treat corneal astigmatism.  The small incisions “Relax” the curvature of the cornea and improve its ability to focus light.

Orthokeratology

Imagine if you could correct your nearsightedness and reduce your dependency on corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses)… while you sleep! It might sound far-fetched, but it’s a reality for many people. It’s called Orthokeratology, or Ortho-K, and it is available at IQ Laser Vision . With an increase in the public demand for vision correction, Ortho-K is a great, non-surgical, low-risk option to help improve vision.

Corneal Cross-Linking

Corneal Cross-Linking is a procedure which uses UV light and a photosensitizer to age and strengthen chemical bonds in the cornea. By strengthening the chemical bonds, we are able to slow down/stop the progression of irregular changes in the corneal shape, thus making the cornea more receptive to other methods of vision correction.
