This full-time permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals that pride themselves in providing quality patient care. The entry level Ophthalmic Technician will perform the following duties. Previous medical experience is not required but exceptional customer service skills are a must! Training will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take patient history
• Use Autorefractor, Magellan, Galilei, and Pachymetry
• Execute Plugs and Meibomian Expression and place contacts on patients’ eyes
• Set up equipment, supplies, and instruments in operating and exam rooms
• Hand instruments and supplies to surgeon, hold retractors, cut sutures, and perform other tasks as directed by surgeon during operation
• Put dressings on patient following surgery
• Wash and sterilize equipment and clean operating room
• Operating Room experience preferred
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous ophthalmic technician experience
• Attention to detail
• Fluent in English
• Bilingual in Vietnamese preferred, Mandarin Chinese okay
• Willingness to learn and follow lead
• Quick learner
• Friendly and outgoing
• Good communication skills
• Dependability / punctuality
• Able to work in a team environment
• Availability on some Saturdays
