As one of Southern California's most experienced refractive surgeons, Dr. Lin has successfully performed over 10,000 refractive procedures (LASIK, MICRO-LASIK®, Intacs, and CK). Training and Education
Robert T. Lin, M.D., Medical Director of IQ Laser Vision and a LASIK patient himself, received his undergraduate education from UC Berkeley and medical training at UCLA. He completed his residency in ophthalmology and is a clinical instructor at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, one of the world's most pre-eminent programs.

We perform WaveFront guided CustomCornea® ablation with the Alcon LADARVISION Laser. We are one of a few centers to offer an eye tracker with the Nidek EC-5000 with scanning slit beam. We also perform Intacs (intrastromal rings), Conductive Keratoplasty (CK), and Laser Thermoplasty (LTK). We perform pre-operative tests using the  Humphrey and ORBSCAN Corneal Topographers (for diagnosis of anterior and posterior cornea), Infrared Pupillometry (assessment of night-time pupil size to decrease halos and glare), and wavefront analysis with the LADARWave.

Dr. Lin is a pioneer in ultra-thin flap LASIK (MICRO-LASIK®) and LASEK, and has performed over 10,000 procedures. With these techniques more patients qualify for wavefront-guided custom treatment so that nighttime vision problems (glare and halos), dry eyes, and corneal ectasia are decreased significantly compared to conventional LASIK.
